I also have a William Arnott on my tree he was my 4 x Great Grandfather born 8 Nov 1761 in Falkirk.
His parents were William Arnott and Ann Turner.  I have be unable to trace his Father's birth or death and wondered whether he came from another area.

could be the middle name Mitchell is her Father's surname.

I have Helen Currie born abt 1814 in Bothwell. Helen married Matthew Gardner on 19 Ap 1835 in Bothwell.  Mybe there is a link to the Currie' of Dalserf.
