I think the first word is "Omitted" (sp.)

The final registration is 1822.  Probably the children born earlier than this date were never registered after their respective births for whatever reason, possibly financial.

Post-war Glasgow and surrounding areas saw a huge growth in peripheral Council housing estates being built eg. Drumchapel, Easterhouse, Pollok and Castlemilk etc.

Assuming that the family moved into a council house in one of these housing schemes, it should be possible to find out from housing records when the various phases of these, or similar, housing estates were released for occupation, and as you have the 1955 address it should be a relatively? easy task to pin down an entry date.

The City of Glasgow housing department may have retained these records, or they may be archived, possibly at the Mitchell Library.

You may find the attached reference of interest  (https://www.rootschat.com/links/01tt0/)

Happy hunting and Good Luck!

I should have mentioned that the distances were (inaccurately measured by me) based on the scale shown on the map, and should have been approx 1.25mls. North, and 2mls.East.  Apologies.

I think the place is Cleekhimin as shown on the attached 1757 map by John Laurie (https://maps.nls.uk/view/216390007).

Contrary to current convention of North being to the top edge of a map, this map is the reverse with North being at the lower edge.

Keeping in mind this convention, Cleekhimin is located 2 miles to the North of Liberton Kirk, and 3 miles to the East and lies just to the East of the Niddery Burn marked on the map.

A cast metal, Celtic patterned Penannular Brooch possibly in silver.
The markings on the underside of the brooch shown in the photo are too pixellated to make out any real detail.  With a better defined photograph of these markings (letters and symbols) in this area it should be able to tell if the material is cast silver, and if so who manufactured the item, and when and where it was assayed.
The brooch is well worn and may well have been a treasured possession.

The following plans (1790-1852) by George Buchanan show the Shirvane estate (or parts of it?) which appears to be in two separate parcels of land to the North and East, and South of Lochgilphead.  (https://maps.nls.uk/view/216586834).

The Plan that appears to relate to Shirvan is (https://maps.nls.uk/view/216586840).  This shows Ballimenach as the most westerly property on the Laigh Park area of the plan, but there is no reference to Shirvan at this date.

Castleton House is shown on the 1st ed. 1843 OS 6" map of the area, but by the time the 2nd ed. of the 6" map was revised in 1898 and published in 1899, Castleton House appears to have been renamed Shirvan.

If you Google "Shirvan Lochgilphead" a raft of information appears about the area.

The Roy Map of the Highlands (1747-1752) (https://maps.nls.uk/geo/explore/side-by-side/#zoom=14.6&lat=57.51122&lon=-1.97051&layers=3&right=202) may provide a possible clue to the location you are looking for.  Longside Kirk is marked on the Roy map, and to the west of it he has noted an Eastertown, a Midtown, Yokieshill, and Inner(w)homry.  The last named exists on more recent maps as Inverquhomery.  In addition to this however, there are several small unnamed settlements shown, one of which may well be the Westerton you are looking for.

I don't know if you have tried the Bayanne site which has a number (59) of Langskail(l) family names recorded in both Orkney and Shetland (The North Isles), the earliest dating before 1750.
It may be a further source to examine.

Good luck
