Hi Kevin, sorry you did not make it over last year, it could be 2022 before you get here.

I am going to look into your John McGettigan, but not tonight, even though I do not think I have much. I am near exhausted after todays marathon of sorting out a lot of paper work and trying to get my head around the family connections.
My grand father was James born 1886, second last child of John and Mary.

Thank you for that part of the photo showing name.
Wonder why the year is 1831. I thought they only searched the records of 41 and 51 as they want to prove age of claimant to be 70 in 1910.
And there is only 10 years in the age of the children.

I am so delighted to get proof of the Park surname.

Now back to the Toners!!!

Hi cousins, Great to hear from you, I would also think Anne Park and William were my great great grand parents. They had 12 children and son John who married Mary Dorrian are my great grand parents. Have you ever visite Ballyarr?
I have been working on this for most of the afternoon. I also have a typed page of the pension enquiry for Ellenor, but no where does it say, Park. But I met a retired schoolteacher many years ago in Mountcharles who mentioned this surname. I cannot remember who she was. (Maybe she was a Dorrian.)
I came across the following in the Tithes Books.
Ballyare, (Tullyfern) Co Donegal.
His father born 1770 William is our 3 GGG gf.
In 1830 He held 14 Acres 2 Roods 4 Perches. Value 6pounds, 7shillings 8pence.
The tithes to be paid to local Clergyman for the tithes claimed by him as rector of the Parish for at least 21 years from 1825. Act of English Parliment in the reign of \King George 111.
Land then passed on to Thomas McGettigan. The lessor was Thomas Patterson. They now had 19 Acres 2Roods 38 Perches. Value 7pounds 5shillings. March 1858.

Thank you so much for getting back to me.  I will get the old paper work out this evening. It is the only way I can follow all the generations. I am also going to read over all the emails again.

Well I went away for quite some time. It is amazing what lock down has brought me back to.
So delighted to see all the messages I have been missing.
I do hope Kevin and MAB, are still out there.
