You should have a look at Merv Wharton's family tree on Genes Reunited.
He has over 25000 names including Coopers & Farrers.   Some of them lived in Bell End Kempston which is where the Half Moon pub is situated.  Merv goes to the HM and knows a lot about the history & people of Kempston.  He is very helpful.

There is a family named McGlory who keep the Half Moon pub in Kempston, Bedfordshire.  They have a website you could look at.

The Half Moon Kempston, Bedfordshire, has a website.  Try logging onto it.  The Licensees are very nice & will help you with its history.   

My sons know the pub well!!!!!!
