hoping that ou are still active in this area.  I am looking for Campbell in silverstream.  namely a Dr George Campbell who died april 1873.  According to our history a great grandmother Mary Campbell c. 1857 was the daughter of a Doctor George Campbell Monaghan.  We have found the aforementioned Doctor in Silverstream but cannot find who he married [hopefully Bridget McKenna] of mention of daughter Mary.  If the information Mary gave on her marriage cert is correct George would have been well in his sixties when she was born!
Can you be of any help here?
Regards
Sandra

Hoping someone can help/advise.  I have a Mary Campbell born 1854-1857. to parents George Campbell Doctor of Medicine and Bridget McKenna.  She arrived in NZ 1879. I can find no record of her birth or the marriage of her parents.  There is a reference in the Northern Standard 19th April 1873 "We note the passing of Dr George Campbell 75 years at Silverstream" I have the birth certs of both George Campbell's who died 1873.  The one that died 15th April 1873 was 94yrs old, farmer [possible.  may have given up doctoring, ] widower, senile.  The trouble with this is that he would have been  around 66 yrs at the birth of Mary. Mary was also a Catholic.
Can anyone help with any of this please?

Hello
I wonder if you could help me please.  I have a Mary Campbell born Monaghan possibly 1857 to 1863 [depending on which certificate you are looking at!]  Puts her parents  as Bridget McKenna and George Campbell [Doctor of Medicine]  She came to NZ 1879 stating her age as 25 which we think is correct as it tallies with age at death.  Perhaps stretched the truth at the time of marriage when she suddenly became younger!  I cannot find her birth not can I find her parents marriage.  There is a Patrick Campbell who married a Bridget Mckenna but no daughter Mary and all their children are younger.  Any help at all would be appreciated.  Mary was a Catholic.

I am also looking at Vickers in Wolverhampton.  I have a marriage cert. of George Vickers occupation boatman to Harriett smith in 1854 at St Marys registered in Wolverhampton.  Unfortunately I cannot make out the name of the parish unless it is just S. M[?]  they are both 21 [b. 1833] parents are said to be George Vickers and John Smith  George later changed his name to Vickerstaff and emigrated to NZ  Said his mother was Mary Burns.  Seems to be more than one St. Marys Is this connected to anyone at all?
