Thanks for your help. I have tried on a certain web site to get his service record, but no luck. I couldn't find his service pension record either, but that could be down to me not looking in the right place...
I have asked a member of my family, and found out he was discharged in July 1919, and think this was at Woolwich dockyard.
I might have to go to Kew to see his SWB listing, but don't want to go all that way, and it says nothing different from his M.I.C.
I might try the local library to see if there is a absent voters list, for 1918 and if he is in it.
