Hi Shaun,
Thanks for getting in touch. I would also be interested in seeing anything you may have on my relatives as well

Flintshire / Ann Evans (nee Jones) 1859-1899? Northop

Hi,
I hope someone can help me - I'm trying to find the record of the death of my gg grandmother. My mother tells me she died giving birth to her uncle John William Evans. Her mother, Nellie and aunt Margaret, went to live with various members of Ann's family in Northop afterwards which I have found on ancestry and I've found baby John William living with family friends, the Parrys, on the 1901 census along with her husband, William, now a widower, living in Bagilt. But I can't find her death recorded anywhere. Any ideas where to look?

Many Thanks!

I have now checked the 1911 census and this confirms what my mother said.

Talked to her about your family and she remembers your grandfather?? was a butcher in Flint??

Hi,

Got that slightly wrong - Megan went to live with her Aunt Elizabeth Jones not Margaret as I said before.

/Hi, I have just registered today and the information here is rather muddled.

The licence was held by John Ellis Evans in 1912 but he was NOT the father of Megan Evans - he was her uncle. Megan Evans was the daughter of Anne Evans (nee Jones) and William Evans. Megan Evans went to live with John Ellis Evans and Margaret Evans aged 6 when her mother died in 1899 giving birth to a son John Evans. There was also another sister, Nellie Evans who was my grandmother. My mother says she was sent to stay at the Royal Oak with her Aunty Maggie after she contracted TB living in Liverpool. Hope this puts the record straight and I would love to hear from you as I have been struggling to find connections on the Evans/Jones side of my family.

Look forward to hearing from you!    ]
