Hi Hume, Donald's death certificate has arrived and has no information about his parents unfortunately!

Thanks for looking for a birth and making an educated guess about his parents by Donald and Mary.

Regards

Argyllshire / Livingstones of Kidalton - famous connections

Greetings,

I am trying to trace the lineage of Donald Livingstone who was born circa 1803 - according to the 1851 Census in Kidalton.  Or 1806 according to the 1841 Census which just says Scotland. His occupation was colad miner/farmer.

He married Agnes Haddow in Hamilton in 1825 and emigrated to Australia with his young family in 1854. His children's names were Donald, Jean, James, Janet, John, Colin, Elizabeth.

It is believed that he is the second cousin of Dr David Livingstone but as I am unable to trace Donald's birth or baptism records am unable to go further back.

Any help or suggestions pls?

Regards
VH
