Hi,
Great to get a reply from a member of the Crennan family. I cannot see your attachment with picture. I am interested also in Joe's brother Kevin Crennan who I believe is in a photo that I have from the Irish Civil war. Would you have any means of identifying Kevin also? I think that the burial records for the cemetery may not be complete. I have the photo with Kevin and burial records on another PC I'll post them in the next day or so when I am at home.
Regards

mike

Hi,

Have you any further details of your great aunt. I have looked at the burial register for Abbeyleix cemetery during the 1960's and cannot find any Crennan.

Regards

Mike

Hi luimneach,

This is Austin. He was not listed at home in the census of 1911. I forgot to mention that he is buried in Lisbonney cemetery.

Tipperary / Austin E. MacCurtin - Castle St. Nenagh

Hi to everybody,
I am searching for a memory card for Col. Comdt. Austin Emmet MacCurtin of Castle St. Nenagh. Austin was 23 years of age when he was killed in an ambush near Raheen, Co. Laois on 28th July 1922. I know the memory card exists as I have a very poor photocopy of it where his face cannot be made out.
I know its a bit of a long shot but worth a chance.
I'd be grateful for any help in locating his family or memory card.
Many thanks
