Does anyone know if a widow, remarrying in England, in 1817 have used her married or her maiden name?

Pearl ran in the family it seems but it had died out by the 20th century.

I don't think so. Mine seemed not to have moved much (normal for Norfolk then) till my G. Grandfather ventured down to London. Mine were all round Hillington.
