HI ive been researching my family tree now for a long time in greenock east.    1901 census robert with his wife elizabeth children robert and ellen jane  lived at carwood st 7 sunk flat r. 1911 census they lived at 16 ladyburn building greenock east.  with children robert aged 12 born scotland .  elizabeth aged 10 born scotland. martha aged 7 born scotland. adelaide aged 5 born belfast.  ellen jane born belfast is not listed in 1911 .   robert and elizabeth were born belfast.       robert seniors parents were wallace james and anne hamilton.  wallace and anne married in lochwinnock 1871.    their other children were wallace.  archibald. james. margaret. mary all born in belfast.    hope someone can help thanks elizabeth

HI. ive traced my family history back to a marrige in lochwinnoch in 1871 of wallace james downie  and anne hamilton.. anne parents were william and roseanne hamilton..   wallace and annes children were .. robert wallace..archiebald..james..margaret mary..mary jane..all born in belfast..then they left belfast abt 1901 returning to greenock ..on my grandfather james army papers..the address is ladyburn building greenock..my grandfather james returned to belfast after the war married mary mcbride....... robert stayed in scotland with his wife lizzie and there two children ellen and robert......wallace lived in westmoreland........archiebald lived in london.......
mary jane lived in blackpool...... margaret mary ?...... any info would be grt thank you

HI..im trying to find out any info on downey... robert born 1801. married sara ? 1822 belfast..their children were hugh born 1828.......william born1830......james born1833......margaret born1837died ballinderry 1845.......john born 1842 died ballinderry 1845......sara died 1847.............robert then married margaret heron 1848 belfast...  they had son called wallace james .......wallace married anne hamilton in scotland 1871  they returned to belfast had children called.. robert born 1872...wallace born 1879..archiebald born 1882...james born 1888..margaret mary  born 1889..mary jane born 1892....james my grand father married mary mcbride ..lived in brown square belfast until his death 1971.. thank you  :)
