Thanks for your replies, much appreciated!

The reference to "Tecumseh" was vague, so thanks for clearing that up for me.

The PAUL family, John, Catherine (McCaughey), (*) and (*) emigrated to Canada in 1948 from Motherwell,Lanarkshire,Scotland.
Three more children were born in Canada in 1950s, (*)

To receive contact from them, or their descendants, would be wonderful.

Thanks!

I think that the Stadium was owned by the Mulholland family...........I recall that one of the sons was sadly electrocuted there.

Hi Bernie

Yes that's correct.......James and Agnes were brother and sister. I have pictures of Agnes and Peter and Mary Logue too. Vince has shared them with me. I have some very old pictures too, and would love to put names to the faces! Great grandfather Hugh and Mary (Stars) are in some.

I have copies of Hugh's first and third marriages, but not yet a copy of the second one which is relevant to me. I am happy to share any info with you.

If you like I can email you a personal message, so that we can communicate better. Sarah should have lots to share too.

Marie

Hi Bernie

Hugh McEnhill and Mary(Stars), third wife, had James, Susan, Hugh, Jeannie and Agnes. My grandfather, Edward was Hugh's son from his second marriage to Jane Gormley. Edward had a sister, Ellen.Hugh had four daughters from his first marriage to Ellen McBride, Sarah Ann, Margaret, Mary and Susan.

Jeannie and Margaret went to live in America. Edward and Sarah lived in Scotland.

We have a lot of information about the McEnhills. Anything particular you would like to know?

Yes my great grandfather, Hugh married Ellen McBride on 21/12/1869. They had three daughters Sarah Anne, Margaret and Mary b. 1870,1872 and 1874.
Sarah married her first cousin, John McEnhill, son of Hugh McEnhill and Catherine McGale 15/7/1891, and moved to live in Scotland. I don't know if Margaret or Mary married,I need to look at my notes.
Hugh's father was Henry and his mother was Sarah Coll. Henry's father was James and mother was Peggy McGlynn.
My grandfather, Edward b.1879 was of the second marriage to Jane Gormley and had a sister, Ellen b.1877.
I have a couple of old pictures and I think that one could be of Ellen McBride, and the other could be of a younger Hugh.

My mother was also a McEnhill. Her father came to Scotland before 1905, married and stayed.
I have a couple of old pictures from around then, perhaps you can identify some of the people?
My grandfather was of the second marriage between Hugh McEnhill and Jane Gormley. His first marriage was to Ellen McBride, which produced three daughters, Sarah, Margaret and Mary. Sarah settled in Scotland with her husband, John, son of Hugh McEnhill and Catherine McGale. "My" Hugh's father was Henry and the other Hugh's father was Owen. They were brothers. "My"Hugh died in 1911. Is any of this familiar to you?

If the James McEnhill, that sarahmck refers to, was the son of Hugh McEnhill(McElhill) and Mary Stars, then he was a half brother to my Grandfather, Edward.
