Hello Lynne,

Yes Elizabeth Quinn - how wonderful!!!  I would like to write to her as well as she spent some time communicating with my father who started me on this never-ending trail.  I need to check she is at the same address but rather than post somebody else's address on an open site, could you email me it at *  Also, whereabouts are you so we can figure out how to compare notes?

Rob

Hello Lynne,

I posted on this thread a year ago but I have only just noticed the activity from Aug 11.  I am a descendant from the Woodstock Spurretts and have a tree of the Spurretts covering about a thousand names.  I am very happy to compare notes.

By the way, you mentioned your great great Aunt who lives in America - is that Elizabeth who lived in Manchester Missouri and was researching the Spirits?

Hi Pauline,

Richard SPURRIT was my 4th great grandfather.  He and Susanna had five children: Richard, Thomas, Ann and Robert.  I descend from Thomas and I have a lot of infromation on the descendants of Richard and Thomas, but not the others.

I also know that Richard had a sister Jane and a brother Robert.  However, I am really stuck trying to get further back.  I am pretty sure that I am related to the William that was murdered in 1754 and I have various other links further back but I can quite join them all up.  I woudl be very happy to compare notes.

Regards

Rob
