My Great Great Grandmothers sister in the 1911 census was classed as a ENVELOPE BANDER? i have no idea what this, and would really like to know if anyone has any ideas? my Grandmother and all her family lived in a tiny village so this type of job is really interesting, as everybody else on my family 1911 census was a farm worker! any help is very much appreciated

Hello my name is Bex and i believe that Charles Calden of Cork and finally Croydon is part of my family Tree! Charles Calden who after looking for my Great Great Grandmother Mary Holland Nee Darvill!!!! is the Daughter of Ellen Darvill Nee Calden!!! after hours of looking at both 1911 census and 1901 and also 1871 census has well confirmed this!
My big question is though! as sadly i noticed on the 1901 census that Ellen Darvill was a widower at the time she was 30? we have no idea of the name of my great great grandfather my hunch was that he was called Henry due to her eldest boy being named CHARLES HENRY? i have tried so hard looking for any info on henry and that brought me to You! random huh? I noticed you stated that Henry was born in Candem??? really??? my mother via Granny Mary Holland Nee Darvill might of been french??? so Candem is really rather shocking! The only information my Mother has on Granny Mary is that she only ever mentioned her sister Nora! who in the 1911 census was named as Honorah? and she never mentioned her two brothers! Charles Henry and George, but looking at there ages, i wouldnt be shocked to discover either losing there lifes in the great war? i tried looking up records of WW1 and yet to find either!
Oh and also you stated that Charles Calden went to England with both his sister and mother?? but i noticed on the 1871 census that Ellen and Charles are put down as husband and wife? and that Ellen Calden was born in Limmerick! and There is another Johanna Calden who is aged 8? this same Johanna is on the 1911 census as still being single and in the rag trade and with my Great Great Great Granny Ellen! who in 1871 is 1! There adress btw in 1911 is 24 Priory Road Croydon! Well thanks for the info on Charles Calden that he was born in Bandon! Bex from Bedfordshire england
