Mattie Mae,
We actually do have that book, it was given to us by Eibhlin. All three Fionnguala's children are still alive, my email address is (*), if you write to me there, I can share the names with you. I have some photos of Fionnguala and her children as well that I will scan and send.
Salome

Dear Mattie Mae,

I just looked at the birth and death certificate for Fionnghuala. She was born 15 July 1915 in 10 Royce Rd, Dublin to Maire Ui Chonchubhair nee Modhrain and Seamus O'Conchubhair. Her death certificate records her death as 18 December 1995 (I got the date wrong in my previous email) but it was actually in Cullinan, Pretoria where she was living at the time with her eldest daughter. She died from a heart attack. She was married to Vernon Augustus Vogel (d. 1993) and they had three children. Two daughters and a son (my husband). It was actually her sister Eibhlin who died in Johannesburg in 2003. We would very much like to know where in the family branch your family fits in?

Kind regards,
Salome

Dear David,

My husband is the grandson of Seamus O'Connor. We have a son who bears the second name of Colm O'Connor (my husband's uncle) who died in Dublin a number of years ago. We live in South Africa. My husband's mother was Fionnguala Vogel - nee O'Connor and she died on December 19, 2004. My husband has two sisters.

We have a few old photographs, two of Seamus O'Connor, as well as some others and we are not sure who they are. Where do you fit in the family tree?

Kind regards,
Salome Human-Vogel.
