Hello, it has been awhile since I have been on here and it has changed quite a bit.  So therefore, if i'm in the wrong area please forgive me.  My question is, does anyone have access to the cemetery or any other local cemeteries around St Andrew's?  I'm looking for my Tingle ancestors and I believe they are buried around this area.

Thank you,

Cathy  :)

« on: Friday 03 December 10 17:49 GMT (UK)  »
Does anyone while in their travels to the old and new Cathcart Cemetery taken any pictures of any Urie's.  If so, I would greatly appreciate it if you could email them to me.  I have so many relatives buried there but I'm unable to go.  My email address is (*).

Thank you in advance.

Cathy

Hi, I added Thomas Urie on Findagrave but thank you.  I also added 2 Mary's and James.  Someone sent me the poictures.  I'm also looking for any Main's or Mutries.  I know there are a lot more Urie's in Cathcart (could be the old churchyard) but I'm sure some of them are very hard to read.

Thanks again,

Cathy

Back on the trail of my Edgars. Can anyone tell me in what years the Old Cathcart Cemetery was used?  Looking for Jane Edgar nee Smith died between 1851 and 1855 and James Edgar (her husband) died 1874 in Cathcart. I very much doubt if they had a headstone but who and where would details of the burial be, East Renfrewshire Council or elsewhere?  Have a trip coming up in May and if I know where to look might have a go at it.  Thanks
Robeena during your trip in may can look for any Urie's buring there?  Don't spend alot of time only if you come across them.  Thanks, Cathy

Hi I'm looking for information on Agnes Shanks parents.  She was born 9 Feb 1752.  I know her fathers name is John and her mothers name is Isabel.  I cannot find any information on them or her siblings.  I was hoping someone may know something.

Thanks,

Cathy

Hi Sancti, yes that would be them.  All the dates match up.  George's grandson David was born in Cedar City, Utah.  Thanks very much.

Looking for information on John Main Urie.  He left New Monkland Scotland for Utah, USA.  His parents were George Urie and Agnes Main.  Thank you.
