London and Middlesex / Re: ELLERY in St. Olave parish and Bermondsey, Southwark areas

Am pretty much a beginner of all of this, but can definitely confirm that my Great Grandfather was Thomas James Ellery, son of Richard Ellery who, originally, came from Sutton Benger.
I joined up to Ancestry.co.uk who gave me access to the censuses. Have traced back as far as Richard's father (also a Richard) b. 1797 Sutton Benger. They seem to have been a family of bakers as you probably know. When down in that area a year ago I saw the family gravestone in the local church.
Gave my research a bit of rest for a few months. Have recently tried again and was most interested in Richard's wife, Ellen, who was at Brookwood Assylum.
Admitted Dec. 27th l870, died there April 15th 1871. I have a transcript of her details - admission, diagnosis, state whilst there from Surrey History Centre.
I did not realise that Richard had married twice after here death. I knew about Rhoda Letitia, but not about the interim marriage to Mary Eliza Lane.
It seems my great grandfather died (don't know why ??) in 1886, so only about 32).
My grandfather was Frank Ernest Thomas Ellery born 1882.
Married 1902 to Maud Julia Linnett (shown as a perfumier in the census).
They had (and I have no dates as yet) 5 children as far as I know.
Elsie, Frank, Albert George Edward (my father), Nellie and Walter.
My father (Albert, George Edward) was always known as 'Mick' and we lived in Wembley, Middlesex. He married Ethel Winifred Pruden in 1935 and there is myself - Jacqueline Anne Ellery (Born 11th June 1945) and my older sister Kay Ellery (born 7th Sept. 1938).
There is quite obviously a connection here, so will be most interested to hear your response.
Kindest regards
Jackie.
