Hi Nellie,

I have your image saved, however I can not work out how to send to you through a PM.  Can you give me instructions on how to do this.  Failing that, you can send me your e-mail address through a PM to me and I will then send you your image.

Thanks for that, nothing of any use to me, but I will have another look and see if I get any hits.

Somerset Completed Lookup Requests / Re: 1891 Somerset Census Look up for Thomas Phippen

Thanks for the info, do you have access to the Census image for the family in 1891, I would be very grateful if you could mail this to me.

Thanks also for doing a search on my Thomas, this man is eluding me.  My brickwall.  I wonder, would it be possible if you could run a search on the same Thomas but spell his surname as Phippin[/color.  I am in no hurry.  So whenever you are looking at the 1891 census again.

If I can help your research in any way, please ask.
I have English, American and some Canadian censuses if you need any lookups.

Thankyou

Hi,

I found Stephen MASTERS on the 1871 Census with his wife and children.  However, when I checked the census image, his wifes name is down as Selina or Sebina Geriginado.  There is nothing on the census image to say she was named as Masters, it does say she was his wife.  The search does give her name as Masters, but not the actual image, this must have been transcribed wrong, which is why you are having some trouble finding birth and death info.

If you wish I can mail you the image, which I have saved.
I did a check for a marriage under both his and her names but could not find anything.

Hi Bob,

The Dorset OPC site looks like it could be very good, nothing for me to search yet, I am looking for Wedmore & Mark.  Howeverl, I searched for the 1861 Census and could not find a link for this.  Can you direct me, or is this only relevant to the areas they have transcribed.

Thanks
Amanda

Somerset Completed Lookup Requests / 1891 Somerset Census Look up for Thomas Phippen
« on: Monday 03 January 05 19:28 GMT (UK)  »
Thomas John PHIPPEN
B:  1872  Burtle, Somerset

On the 1881 Census he is living with parents Thomas and Jane PHIPPEN, he is named John T. PHIPPEN.

On the 1901 Census he is married to Laura Marshall and is living in Mark, Somerset.  He is on this Census as Thomas John PHIPPEN.

Is there anyone that can find him under either John or Thomas on the Somerset 1891 Census.

Thanks for any help
Amanda P.    :)

Hi BVS,

Thankyou for replying.  Your information is very interesting, my gt grandfather was Thomas John Phippen, born in Axbridge 1872.  I have just sent for his marriage certificate, so I hope to learn more about him soon.  I would be very pleased if you could find out anything on Thomas Phippen, was this information you saw from a census etc, or notes that you have in your tree.
Thanks
