Can't help you with the record but I knew Dick as he had an amateur radio licence, as do I. I sometimes helped him with his aerials in dunmore East.

Thanks for the reply and looking it up.

Thomas Phelan had a son Patrick J Phelan who was in Scotland Yard and was the personal body guard to Eamonn De Valera whenever he was in Great Britain.

I have a number of newspaper cuttings about him and De valera but I presume I could not post them here due to copyright issues.

Thomas Phelans marriage cert shows him as born in Co. Waterford with a father Patrick Phelan, a farmer.

OK.

thanks for your help. I will go and look through the graves again.

I was told they were buried there and now that I am 100% sure, I will have another look.

I wonder do you have a record for a Mary Anne Burke or Bourke (nee Jones) in Johns Hill. Died before 1948. Born 1880.

Thanks for the reply.

Yes. Looking for William Jones died 1912 would have lived at 2 Beau St in 1912.

His wife Anne Jones died 1941, death cert shows her living in the Burchall Home

There are two graves there side by side with two of his sons John Jones and Thomas Benjamin Jones

Thanks for the reply.

I know it's a long shot but you never know.

Charles Carter Bailey seems to have been a gardener and may have been working in a large house or estate.
