There is another Thomas Elizabeth marriage in 1787 at Walton-le-dale. I know Thomas would have been quite old for a first marriage but there could have been a previous one

Eg marriage to a Margaret (known perhaps as Peggy) with a death of a Peggy wife of Thomas in 1781 (there are a couple of others)

Does the death certificate you have not give the relationship to the deceased as they often do?

Presumably you have confirmation of all your ancestors after civil registration in 1839. Would it be worth going back to that level and reconfirming parentage?

Also noted in The Blackburn Standard on 30/3/1839

Age 75 & highly respected by numerous friends

This makes him sound to be a well known man in the area and probably fairly wealthy to have an obituary in 2 newspapers but still does not match the birth date you have by 10 years. Ages on death are often a few years out but not usually as much as 10

Do you have his death certificate to see who registered his death?

And when did he marry and what was his occupation then

Also where were his widow and possibly children living in the 1841 census

Walton-le-dale until I think 1866 was part of the parish of Blackburn which was very large and encompassed many areas which became parishes in their own right

Greetings I have the death record of Thomas Walmsley, he died in Ashton but I can't find the place of berial. He was baptised at the Parochial Chapel of Walton in the Parish of Blackburn, Lancashire and married at Saint Peter 's Church, Liverpool. His wife was babtised C of E at Lancaster, St Mary, Lancashire. Can you advise where to search for the burial of Thomas Walmsley?

You seem to have quite a variety of area there - Waton-le-Dale (Preston), Liverpool, Lancaster. Who was his wife and when did he marry please. There are a lot of Thomas Walmesleys in Lancashire and wondered how you identified this one as yours

I assume you have Arthur's death in the last quarter of 1947. A new pension card for his widow at 38 Lancaster St seems to have been prepared on 4/12/47

1939 recorded DOB 1881

There is a burial for a Arthur Walker Woodhead 11th November 1947

As Wilcoxon says be careful taking anything from those trees. I can’t see any evidence that Benjamin on them is correct. No census proof, baptism etc and the only one with any detail outside Warwickshire where Barnett seems to be a common surname.

That 1846 death certificate is for a Priscilla in Foleshill NOT Fallowfield.

Foleshill is in Warwickshire so probably no connection. The informant also lives in Foleshill
