I realise that my previous reply was incomplete - the Nolan you have found age 4 months in the 1871 census would have been 9 months old in the December quarter 1871 when the Nolan Thomas TARRANT (sometimes mis-spelt as FARRANT) I am looking for had his birth registered - as registration must be within 6 weeks of the birth date he woud have been born mid-October to end December 1871 and would not appear in the 1871 census.

Sorry, the East Dean I am interested is the one on the Hampshire/Wiltshire border (in the former), not the one in Gloucestershire.  hence a different person.

Has anyone access to the East Dean baptisms records who could look up those of Nolan Thomas TARRANT birth registered December quarter 1871 Romsey district but Eats Dean in censuses & his sister Minnie Phillips TARRANT June quarter 1873 Romsey district please?

I am interested in the date of birth, date of baptism and especially parents.

I am hoping someone with access to the Winterslow parish register can help - looking for the marriage of Alexander TARRANT & Elizabeth LINEY and the baptismal details of their sons Samuel & Henry.  Samuel was 8 in the 1841 census, Henry 7 so the baptisms would have been 1833 & 1834.  Hence the marriage would have been 1832 or 1833.

Hi, I am new to this chatroom so bear with me.  My wife is a WOODAGE & I have her line back, through BMD certiiicates, baptismal & census records to the Berkshire WOODAGES - Charles baptised May 1800 at Yattendon & his parents JOhn & Hannah nee HOPE.  Of Charles's children, William baptised 1831 at Yattendon has a Charles baptised 1882 at East Isley living with him in 1891 & 1901 & is down as a son.  William is trackable through the censuses from 1841.  BUT, if Charles father is John, then he would be the illegitimate son of William's younger brother John who didn't get married until after 1881, trackable through the censuses from 1841, living with wife Sarah in 1891 & 1901.

So, I would really appreciate contact if Pip is researching the WOODAGEs as two heads are always better than one.
