Armed Forces / Re: how do I go about tracing a Scots Guard?
« on: Monday 19 December 05 13:59 GMT (UK)  »
to Ann12, Manmack and michaelkweavers  Many thanks for responding to this request.  It would be great if you wouldn't mind me seeing one of your grandfather's regiment photos as I really am not having any joy tracing him.  Although due to family health problems and bereavements I have been unable to pursue it in too much detail.  I am hoping to pick it up after Xmas again. So guys thank you also for your info especially the address as that is where he was based when he married my grandmother.

So once again for the info.

Hi Anjo no I have been unable to do much recently due to family illness, just beginning to pick up again.  If you have any info it would be much appreciated. Jean

Well done to everyone who replied to Pam it has been great entertainment reading them.

We attended a family wedding and hubbie couldn't believe i was taking my printed (1.5ins thick) book with me.  When I got there I suddenly realised I knew more about the dead than the living, so currently ringing everyone for their info even more glazed eyes and bored voices.

Hi there, you could consider getting just the eldest 2's birth certificates as the eldest was Elizabeth's and the 2nd one Hannah's so you should find both their maiden names on them.
