Hopefully someone can locate this family in 1851 Census please:
Alexander Bassano, clerk at House of Commons b abt 1828 St James London
Wife Adelaide Rose b abt 1829 St Clements London
Louisa dau b abt 1851 Marylebone London
Adelaide Fanny dau b abt 1850 Marylebone
Known address in March 1853
27 Albert Terrace, Southwark, Surrey
(Note: surname is very often mistranscribed as Bassans,
Bassens, Barsane, Bossano, Bossans etc so a ‘keen’ eye is needed)
Many thanks,

Hi Gaye, I am doing some research on Alexander Bassano, the London photographer. There is an exhibition of his work planned for October 2013, the sesquicentenary of his death. Please feel free to get in touch. I see you have already had exchanges with my friend Brett in Tauranga on the Derbyshire list. Cheers! Marcel, Brisbane.
