I am looking for more information on Agnes McFarlane b Dunbarton 1830-31
she married John Wright at Glasgow 18 Jun 1854 and died in New Zealand in 1876 her death certificate giving her parents as-

Dugald and Agnes McFarlane (nee Morrison) I have hit a blank wall and now wonder if these details are correct. Any suggestions please.

Hi Triumph,

The Ancestral file on the International Genealogical Index has two entries for the birth of Agnes McFarlane daughter of Dugald and Agnes McFarlane (Morrison) one says 1832 Argyleshire and the other says 1834 Argyleshire both have her death as the 27th November, 1876 in Addington, Canterbury, New Zealand and her husband as John Wright.  These details are put in by people and need to be proved.

Scotlands People might be a good starting point.  You have to register and buy credits and it is a Governament site.

I have seen the information on the IGI but have never been able to trace the woman who put the family in, she obviously ties in somewhere but no-one knows of her. The dates are correct for Agnes's death.
