I am researching my great grandparents Michael Hughes born abt 1871 in Rockhampton QLD and Jane Hughes (nee Riordan) born abt 1886 in Cunnamulla QLD. All I have to go off is my grandfathers birth certificate. I have no idea where look for info. Can anyone can suggest any Queensland sites?

Thanks Pauline for the QLD archives site. But I still couldn't find any info on the HUGHES family. I tried electoral roles, no info there either. Is it possible that because they lived in remote locations finding info is impossible?
