Title: Berkley in Northumberland
Post by: Busby on Tuesday 11 October 05 01:17 BST (UK)
My G-G-G-grandfather, Michael Berkley, was born in Ponteland about the beginning of the 19th century. His father may be one Thomas Berkley, His mother Dorothy Charlton. If these are your ancestors, or if you know someone connected with this line I would be most appreciative for any contact. Thank you in advance for any help you can offer. Doug

Hi Busby
I have found a birth on freebmd for a Michael Berkley who could be yours
Births
1908 Morpeth
Vol 10b-Page 551
I would advise you to purchase a birth cert for Michael as that will tell you for sure who his parents are plus other very useful details

Good luck

Joe

Hello, Joe.   Thank you for the info on Michael Berkley, mine was born 1799-1800 though. This may very well be a relative of his, however, and I will follow through with this anyway. Thanks for the advice on the email, I have modified my message. I'm afraid I'm a little bit of a newbie on the message boards, and all pointers like that are appreciated. I'll try to learn all of the etiquette as quickly as I can to be respectful of the users with more experience.
