Do you know Janes parents names as in the 1841 census, there are 2 or 3 possibles, but none in South Elmham, St. Cross.

Hi,
Thanks for the help.I appreciate that.Jane's fathers name was William Barber b. c1815 St. Elham. St.Cross.Janes mothers name was Mary although William turns up later with a wife Elizabeth.I was unable to find Willliam in 1861 so am unsure where he was or what was happening with him.
Cheers, Pauline

In 1841 the nearest I can match Jane is a 5 yr old with a family called HAYLOCK in Icklingham St. James.
There were two other Janes but they appeared to be part of their own families.

Thanks! That is a great help.I think that in 1841 census the James is a transcription error and it is in fact Jane. There are a couple of siblings I did'nt know about and a tie to Mendham which is a lead I have been looking for.I really appreciate your help.Keep up the good work.
Pauline. :)
