Title: 1891 St. Austell-Pearce please
Post by: Kissimmee on Friday 07 October 05 01:23 BST (UK)
This is a bit of a tricky one, I am afraid.

I have a little girl Josephine Pearce born 1892 St. Austell and have no christian name of the father and think that the mother is either Mary or Louisa

?  Pearce
Mary or Louisa Pearce born Veryan Cornwall.

Have looked for a marriage but nothing showing up.

Many thanks for looking at this request

WOW,
you certainly have been busy on my behalf - this is actually a cousin to my lady so it is an added bonus as did not have her married off or with any children.
Looks like I will have a busy night filling in all the details on my family tree.

May have to splash out and buy a birth certificate for the little girl to find who her parents are but looks like I have two tie-ups with the Pearce family.

Many thanks for all your help as I would never have found out any of this information on my own.

My goodness you have still been looking for my lady, thank you very much.
Unfortunately this one is not mine as it should be either
Mary Louisa (nee Gummoe) born 1858 Veryan or Louisa Jane (nee Gummoe) born  1865 Veryan.

Sometimes they do not want to be found and you just have to be patient and wait until the next Census and hope that they turn up on that one.

Many thanks for all the hard work you have put in on this difficult request.

What a wonderful result Manaia,
I was not expecting a reply after all this time.
I am sure you have the correct young lady because I have the name of Gummow on the same tree but will have to check if they are real grandparents or just a made up relationship given.  Would appreciate you sending me details on this couple.

Hi Manaia,
Thanks for coming back on this one.
Supernan's computer is up and running again so you can either post here and she will see it or you can send her a PM.
I know she will appreciate you doing this for her.

Hi Manaia,
PM means private message, which you can do and it does not get posted on to the main board.
Thank you for your help with this query
