I notice that Deborah had in her 'hot little clutches' the Sussex 1841 census....may I request two lookups please?
Tha family of Elizabeth MUSTIAN (...or MUSTCHIN/MUSTYAN/MUSTION) she was christened 27 Feb 1831 Amberley, Sussex.. Parents were Solomon and Harriet. Siblings were Martin 1815..William 1819..Henry 1819..George 1822..John N 1825..Matilda 1828..Mary A 1834 All born/christened in Amberley.
Other request is for Benjamin MUSTION ch 2 Oct 1796 Hastings, Sussex..parents were James and Mary. Did he get married and have family at all?
Many thanks in anticipation

Hi Rog
Only 1 child appears in the Baptism Registers for Hastings 1700 - 1879

You wrote - "Other request is for Benjamin MUSTION ch 2 Oct 1796 Hastings, Sussex..parents were James and Mary. Did he get married and have family at all?" Is the James & Mary correct - Baptism Registers entries all say James & Ann

Cant find a marriage of Soloman & Harriett - These are the only Solomans that appear in the Marriage Registers
Amberley, West Sussex, Date: 25 Dec 1797, Solomon MUTCHIN & Ann GOATHERD.
Boxgrove, West Sussex, Date: 5 Jan 1795, Solomon MUSTCHIN, Amberley & Charlotte MARTLEW.
Findon, West Sussex, Date: 1 Oct 1755, Solomon MUSCHIN & Sarah BUTTERLY.
Lewes All Saints, East Sussex, Date: 3 Oct 1706, Solomon MUSDEN, Findon & Mary DOWNER.
Is Harriett really Charlotte?

Harriett BALSON and Solomon MUSTCHIN, with a raft of different spellings, were married in Sturminster, Dorset on 22 January in 1815.
At the time Solomon was a gameskeeper in Dorset.
Harriett was Solomon's fourth and last wife.
This Solomon's wives include:
Ann GOATHERD
Charlotte MARTLEW
Sarah UNKNOWN. This Sarah was the third wife and died in Dorset after giving birth to twins.

Benjamin, to my knowledge had just the one wife. Sarah SHARPE.
Also to my knowledge they had only one daughter Elizabeth Boadle MUSTCHIN, middle name is Benjamin's mother's maiden name.
Elizabeth married a John BRACKENBURY, spelt a multitude of ways and we loose track of this couple very quickly.
I know they had two male children. One in Bermondsey and one in Rotherhithe.
One died under a year old.
The other son can be found living with Benjamin, Sarah and Benjamin's sister Elizabeth HUTCHINSON in George Street, Hastings, Sussex in the 1851 census.
Cannot find the parents, Elizabeth and John.
The son that is living in Sussex in 1851 is out of radar for the 1861 and 1881 census'.
I know he married a lass Mary. She appears in the 1871 census.
Benjamin and Sarah appear in the 1851 census together. Can not find them as yet in the 1841 census. It is possible they were visiting Elizabeth in Kent where she married that year. Or that drated surname has been mispelt again, and they are indeed still in Hastings.
Benjamin died 1859 and Sarah continued to live in George Street with Benjamin's sister Elizabeth until Sarah's death in 1862. Elizabeth died in 1864.
