I am looking for the following couple in the Glasgow, Lanark Census.
Archibald Parker and wife Agnes Andrew Parker. They married in 1828 in Glasgow. Born abt 1810 in Glasgow. The had a daughter Agnes who died in 1838 and a son Archibald who was born in 1834 in Glasgow. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi nutkin
I have also been trying to find some of my partner's ancestor's in Lanarkshire, in the year before he left Scotland he was farming at the Lowlands at Paisley, which I have found to be in Renfrewshire but unfortunately no census for that area yet just the High and Middle Paisley grrrrrrrr doesn't it make you mad when they do nearly all the other but not the one you want
I have found this website for some of the area's which include Glasgow, just click on the headings for lanarkshire and it will download:

Good Luck
Linda (not to be confused with the other one registered on here)

1851 census Names Index (No addresses or birthplaces given) For Glasgow
There was no Archibald Parker with a wife Agnes
Only one Archibald (snr) born early 1800's
Census taken ST ANDREWS, ward 567, Enum. dist. 4 page 6
Archibald Parket aged 48
David Parker aged 14
I also found an Archibald Parker age 17, but without seeing the actual census, I don't know what the relationship is to the Parker family he is living with
Census taken ST ANDREWS. ward 567 enum. dist. 1 page 18
James Parker age 40
Elizabeth Parker age 40
Catherine age 16
Jane age 14
Elizabeth age 12
John age 10
James age 6
Marion age 3
Next comes another two older Parker boys, which makes be believe they are not other sons, but possibly some kind of relation
John age 19
Archibald age 17
The oldest Agnes Parker was age 32, so I guess that maybe Agnes had already died by 1851

Thank you so much for your help. I wish that the Glasgow Census was available. Wishing is not getting though.
I will try to track a lead that Agnes had died by 1851. I might try to purchase 1841 in the hopes it will give me some leads!
Again thank you so very much. Any information is good information! ;D

Hi ,
I am not sure if you can work on a surname search.
Iam trying to find williamson ,possibly James or John or Humphray family in Biggar when JamesWilliamson was brn in 1784.
Not much to go on but if you can see if there isstill evidence of WILLIAMSONS in Biggar I would be really grateful.
Cheers.

I would appreciate a lookup for ANDREW RAE, born 1823; his parents would be JOHN & JEAN; If the lookup is in the 1851 census Andrew would be married possibly to a Margaret and would have had a daughter, Janet, born about 1845. Thank you.

I had trouble find one quite a few years ago and came across him on the Freecen site which helped me pinpoint him on Scotland's People. Might be worth a try on there
