I am also trying to discover where Henry Jenkins was born and more information about him and his family. Parents and his siblings.
I did find Elizabeth Kennison of Holberton who was born in 1721 and baptized in 1722 in Brixton. Her mother was Gertrude Kennison of Newton Ferrers [ un-married] .

Thanks for that. I know Henry Jenkins was born in Swimbridge, christened 22/11/1722, son of John Jenkins and Mary Heale, who m Swimbridge 26/5/1720. Mary was christened Swimbridge 5/11/1691.

I also know of a John Kennison christened Yealmpton 26/4/1679, father also John.

Where do you go with the Jenkinses after that?  I can bring them up to date via Henry's son Wm.   Any help to you?

Very many thanks - Was your William baptized April 1761 and married first Amy Hingston ? I have him buried 1832 at Yealmpton.

I can bring you up to date via Henry's first son Daniel born 1756  and his second wife Mary Currley [ my great great great great grandparents ]

Yep, that's us - except I have him baptized Yealmpton 24/3/1761.  Was Daniel first married to Jane Grieg?  I have him bap. 6/1/1759 by the way.    And we weren't in touch years ago, were we?  I'd just started researching and someone who was descended, or his wife was, from Daniel got in touch with me.  Daniel had a colourful history?
Are you prepared to exchange email addresses - and how do we do it offline??
