Title: saving animated pics.

How can I save an animated picture  to use in email - that will  show in main body of mail form and not as an attachment.?

Have you tried using Incredimail for your mail programme?

thanks for speedy reply and yes I have viewed incredmail  but I wanted to know how to save

specific animations that  I see and enjoy  from various places.

On a PC if you right click on the image one of the options is to save image (or save image as) ..... regardless, the image should always be named with the gif suffix NOT jpg or jpeg.

Gif animations are associated with html pages - some email programs will handle html email - but to some people they are a nuisance and I know they get stripped out of hotmail for instance.  They may even make your emails bounce back from some firewalls as suspect.
If you have Netscape -- open Composer - pop the gif on to a page Composer and view in Netscape --  that and you can view it anytime.

Hi  again
I saved animation as as a gif as suggested but to use the  animation I then to need to insert which only shows in mail as an attachment. Any idea how I can use it to open in the mhave to insert and it shows as an attachment.How can I get the saved file to show in the main body of my email I want to send.l.

When creating a new message ensure that the format it is to be sent in is set to HTML ...... the default is usually plain text which sets all graphics as attachments

The "Format" setting can be found on the menu bar next to "Insert"  this will then give the further option when you choose insert to Insert rather than Attach.

Thanks so much for the help Im recieving.

I used the HTML setting from the format tab and inserted my saved gif animation but I must still be doing something not quite right but will keep trying and thanks for your help.
