Can anyone help with the marriage date of Agnes Lamont to Thomas
Jobling, I think in Philadelphia. Agnes died July 1967 aged 72.
Also her sister Margaret Lamont married William R Young
in Philadelphia. She died 1984.
Both these ladies were from Antrim Ireland. they went to
America at different times. Can anyone help with a passenger
list and ship names, 1912 and 1921, I think.
Thanks

Lily, I've found Agnes and Thomas Jobling on the 1920 census. They are living in Upper Moreland, Montgomery, PA and she lists her year of immigration as 1911. She has 3 children, ages 8, 3 4/12, and 1 ?/12. Do you need a transcription of this? I'm still searching for margaret.----Genealiza

Lily, Since my index only lists the heads of families, and since the parameters you have given are so limited, I have not been able to find your Margaret and William Young. I keyed in William Young, Philadelphia and that turned up 88 entries. I looked through all of them to find a wife, Margaret and found 3. One immigrated in 1872 and the other two were born in Pennsylvania. Unless you can give more information, such as the age of William, his place of birth, and another area in which to search, I won't be able to help you further. Sorry----Genealiza

Hi genealiza
Could you try William R Young, he came from County Down in
Ireland, they may have married in 1923.
Thanks

Lily, I put him into my index, but did not come up with anythng. I only have up to the 1920 census, so maybe you should request a 1930 lookup. I suggest you give as much information as possible when you make your request. Did they have any children? If so, you might name them. Sometimes you can find the parents by the children's name.
Do you know how old either William or Margaret is? If I make it to our library this week, I'll look at Ancestry and see what they have. Until then, maybe you can get a hit with someone else. Good luck. ------Genealiza

Lily, I've found Maggie's immigration record and also her entry in the 1930 census. I've never looked at the immigration records before, but this one had one line on two pages to transcribe. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to decipher all of the headers, so if you come across a blank form, I think they may have them on Ancestry, you can fill in the blanks with my transcription.---Genealiza
