I would be grateful if you could check the censu for the following:
John Ellis Age abt 11
Janet Letitia Jones Age abt 10
They seem to have spent their later life in Toxteth/West Derby, so you may have them in your extract.
I would be most grateful for a check as I am getting rather stuck with these two (chasing an Ellis and a Jones through Liverpool is not easy!)

the 1861 has janet letitia jones as a servant with place of birth south wales.the 1871 says pembrokeshire wales.there are several janet jones of correct age on the 1851 wales cencus but none with middle name letitia

Many thanks for that info. Pembrokeshireis certainly right for my Janet Jones. Is it possible to have addresses or other members of the household for the 1861 census?

VERY many thanks - there's another little gap plugged. she was dead by the 1881 census, so it's good to pick her up where at all possible, especially as it was a major family migration.

that puts her death somewhere between 1876 and 1881.

free bmd has a death for a janet letitia ellis registered in the june qtr of 1880 should you wish to order a certificate the volume number is 8b page 227 the district of w.derby.her age at death is stated as 49yrs.
the marriage details if you dont have them are -
dec 1862 in the district of w.derby volume 8b page 818
would be good to get the certificate if you dont already have it as would show fathers names and allow you to go back further

Brilliant! I have some details of the death, but haven't been able to locate a death certificate. Finding the marriage is a stroke of genius: I have Janet's parents, but no details at all for her husband John, where I was having real trouble because it's such a common name. Thanks a million.
