I have the baptism of George and Ralph Stonhewer, the sons of Thomas and Ursilla Stonhewer of the Hay Hill baptised on the 14 November 1669 at Biddulph St. Lawrence. Then one year later, I have a baptism for a Ralph Stonhewer, son of Thomas and Ursilla Stonhewer of the 28 November 1670. This time no abode is mentioned, but I am quite confident that this is the same couple. Could this be a second baptism for Ralph, or could the first Ralph have died and the second baptism was for another new-born child names after the first Ralph?
Oops, should have looked further before posting, both George and the first Ralph died :(
