dotty, I think it would assist if you could provide approximate dates please -- and where the immigration was to.

Pennines, there is this record - could that be him?

There is an incoming passenger list record:

12th April 1946
Hector Catry 57 yrs - Minister of Religion
Port of Departure - Bombay
Port of Arrival - Liverpool
In transit to Antwerp
Country of Permanent residence - India

Maybe that’s not him as Wikipedia says he was a Catholic bishop .

My Heritage looks to have records about the person you mention. I don’t think children are mentioned.

Well done, Heywood, on finding something for that name anyway.

I still think approximate dates for the person dotty is seeking, would help. Very little info has been given. (Now that I've said that some other Super Sleuth will find something!!)

I agree - dates would help and perhaps the relationship or reason for searching.
I just tried it and was wrong first time! Then that other one came up.
I have tried F S but like you, Pennines, nothing else to be found as yet.

The initial post seems to have been amended - it originally mentioned 'immigration'!

I didn’t  see that except it’s in the forum for Immigrants and Emigrants.
Patience  ;)

Hector Alidore Catry born 1919 in Mariekerke Belgium was the uncle of my daughter's father in law who was brought back to England with his father to live after his mother  had died in 1948.Hector died in 1970(he was the nephew of Bishop Hector Catry)Just trying to find out if Hector junior and Maria Maes had children
Contact  because of distance  was lost with the family many years ago

It’s good that we have the right person - even his uncle!

You will have seen the tree record on My Heritage for him. I just searched and it came up.
I had to find a translation but I don’t see a mention of children.

You would perhaps have to see if Belgian birth records are available anywhere.
Good luck.

Your records might be too recent.
