Title: Grimme family - Bethnall Green
Post by: Debw on Saturday 17 September 05 15:34 BST (UK)
My ancestor line includes the Grimme family mostly in Bethnall Green but the earliest person I have is John Grimme born abt. 1780.

He had a son Charles Grimme born 1817 Westminster. Charles married Emma Egleton in 1837 in Paddington Parish Church. They had Emma 1843 (Marylebone), William (Marylebone) 1845, Mary Rosetta (Paddington) 1849, Albert (Bethnall Green) 1850, Eliza Ann (Mile End New Town) 1859 and R Grimme (Bethnall Green) born after 1861.

If any of this is familiar to anyone I would be interested in any other information. Thank you for reading.

Hello Emma

Thank you for your message. This does appear to be the same family - I also have Lakeman and Cornford which suggests the connection is through my Grandparents that were Edward Albert Grimme and Theresa Hyacinth Lakeman, Theresa's mother was a Cornford.

How are you connected to this line?

Regards

Debbie
