I’m trying to find the biological parents of my grandmother but haven’t had much luck. I’ve done DNA testing with ancestry.
My grandmothers adoptive name was Marie Alice Ward and she was adopted by Wyndham Henry Ward and Ada Elizabeth Ward (nee Baker) in WA, though she was apparently born in SA (in 1910). I’ve tried searching records and newspapers etc but haven’t had any luck. I have no idea what her birth name was. I think her father may have been a Leschke from oakford in SA (from DNA results) but a lot of my DNA results have come back with American relatives and ancestors and I can’t find the connection to Australia. I’m just wondering if anyone can advise where to go from here? I’ve hit a brick wall.
Thanks :)

You can use something like https://dnapainter.com/tools/probability to try and understand the pattern in your DNA
I see both the Wards and Bakers were from South Australia - have you tried looking at Wyndham nad Ada's relatives to see if it might have been a in-family adoption?

" though she was apparently born in SA (in 1910)."
When you say this, could you be more specific please.
What exactly is the source of this information?
Her marriage certificate?
Death certificate?
Or someone just said that?
