I don't know where to post this?
The above was the 3rd child of Charles John Foreman and Elizabeth Church. At 1911 UK Census he was an AB in the Royal Navy serving in China and East Indies. By 18 Feb 1915 he had deserted his ship 'Penguin' and this was advertised in New South Wales, Australia, Police Gazettes, 1854-1930 as well as in the Tasmania Newspapers. I can only presume that he stayed in Australia?

Assuming this is the same man, he'd deserted from the Royal Navy in July 1913 (HMS Cambrian) and when recovered he was given a protecting certificate on joining the Royal Australian Navy in September 1914.

ShaunJ Excellent research, it looks like the same man but the year of birth is wrong unless it was wrongly recorded? What is a protecting order?
Cr
-
Looks like he was discharged 29/9/1914 from the RAN, wonder what he did after that?
Cr
-
No that's when he joined the RAN
-
The RAN record has his brother's name and address.
33 Hind Street, Poplar
-
Sorry made mistake with year should have been 24/5/1919, his brother and mother were living at 33 Hind St, at 1921.
