Are you sure Dennis died 1983. I ask because he and Georgina Mavis are still at the address you posted in 2002, but by 2005 she is alone.

SS

added Georgina still at the same address in 2010

Probate for the one who died 1983
https://archway.howison.co.nz/view/IE41881857

There is an NZ birth of the same name in 1941.  He could be the Taneatua one (have you looked at a map? Taneatua & Welllington are a very long way apart).

NZ BDM is down for maintenance this weekend, so we cannot review things there.
It is possible the 1983 death won’t show, because 1948 is not over 80 years ago.

You are welcome.
it would seem from his will there was no wife.

You should be able to buy a print out of the death certificate 80 years after his date of birth.

Hi Cork,

Just to clarify, when you order the certificate from NZBDM, do make sure you request a 'print-out' as Mckha suggested. A printout is NZBDM terminology for a copy of the original document.

If you don't specify this you may just get a transcription: you need the original.

And NZBDM can email the image to you. I hope this clarifies things for you.

Regards,

Spades
