Title: Help with German Birth translation & interpretation
Post by: Kim_May on Monday 26 January 26 06:05 GMT (UK)
Hi everyone,

I have a German birth record from 1888 and wondering if someone can help me work out what it says. I have tried online translators, Chat GPT and even my partner who can speak German...but is not so good at reading it.
The file is also bigger than the allowed 500kb, and also when I resize it,  this brings up an error.

Any help would be awesome :)

Thanks,
Kim May

I wonder if it is written in Sütterlin? Can you email it, I can TRY.

You could also try using Image.pi7 to reduce the size of the document.

Have you tried IrfanView as an image viewer, editor, and converter?
