Hi
Is there anyone that could help me. I am trying to trace my partners gr Grandfathers family but having difficulty and was hoping someone might be able to help or point me in the right direction. I feel like I am going around in circles.
I am looking for the birth record of
William John Owen. On the 1939 register he gives his date of birth as 6th march 1882 5 Mount Pleasant Waen Wen death date is aug 1972
I believe his mother was Grace Owen born abt 1858 unsure of death. Trying to ensure I am following the correct family
Thank you

Possibly this one, could be a late registration?
OWENS, WILLIAM JOHN - (no mothers maiden listed, so likely illegitimate)
GRO Reference: 1882 J Quarter in BANGOR Volume 11B Page 530
1891 census mother Grace is listed as daughter to head of house William. They are in the Bangor reg district area.
Digital download available for £3.00 via GRO to see if details match 1939 register dob.

Grace still alive in 1901 b 1860 & 1911 b 1857 at same address, Mount Pleasant.
Possible death, but would recheck under Owen & Owens. Varies with her age, but it would likely come under Bangor.
Not applicable
Deaths Mar Q 1917 (bc 1853)
Owens Grace age 64 Bangor 11b 724
See next post, Grace found in 1921

Death not hers, just found her in 1921 age 62 (1859) b Pentir, Caernarvonshire, same address 5 Mount Pleasant.
William John & family living a few doors away on census at 3 Llain, Wain Wen. 1939 he is living 5 Mount Pleasant, so likely death for Grace between 1921 - 1939
Possible death in 1924, Bangor age 64, but would recheck. Age only as good as informant knowledge.

Thank you for your help. I ordered the Grace Owen record and it wasn't the correct one. I searched more and found one in 1929.
Grace Owen died 31st March 1929. Bangor.
Thank you
