John McConnell (1851-1934) married Agnes Jane Conway (1874) Derry, Ireland but John gave his address as Knaresborough, Yorkshire.
Had at least 2 children King Alexander Birney McConnell (1875) and Margaret Frances McConnell.
I am trying to trace the death of John McConnell's wife (Agnes Conway McConnell)
Any help gratefully received -

I note the marriage in Londonderry, John Police Sergeant. Hugh Conway was one of the witnesses. Children you mention below. Have you found any census returns?

This is the only death I can find in England for John in 1934. This death does not seem to tie in with the 1911/1921 census. So where did John die?
MCCONNELL, JOHN 82

This is a confusing family as I am struggling to find in the census returns.
-
When you look at the 1911 census and the 1891 census mention, both of which appear to be the same family, I do not think it is the John who married Agnes. Therefore I do not think the 1934 death is the John you are referring to.

Thanks
I agree - looks like a different family
I need to re-examine the information that I have.

I note on the marriage record that they were both of full age, Agnes had the middle name of Jane, her father was Hugh, Johns father was James. Statutory Birth records did not commence in Ireland until 1864.
