Hi, just a quick question, is it possible to trace details of a member of the RAF from a Long Service Medal:
Sgt G Lawrence 508300,
Or is the only way through the National Archive?

Hi,
There is a "form 434" record at FindMyPast which eems to be a transfer record for him, from the 96th Royal Devon Yeomanry Field Bde R.A (T.A). Period 28.11.27 - 25.01.28, Gunner 778014.

Birth town: Barnstaple, Devonshire
Occupation: Porter
Attestation age: 18
Attestation date: 26 Jan 1928
There are other personal details about him but only a couple of deatails about his early service.
