WILLIAM KEAN SPALDING served with the Black Watch in WW1. He lived in Buckhaven but, as a result of his wartime trauma he spend the latter part of his life in the Fife and Kinross District Asylum, now the Stratheden Hospital. He died there on 27 Sept 1918.
William is another of our many "Forgotten Soldiers". He is entitled to War Grave commemoration - if his place of burial can be established.
Does anyone know where this man is buried.? I understand that the asylum had an extensive burying-ground, now disused. Does anyone know whether burial records exist and, if so, where?
I would be very grateful for any help.

Nothing coming up for him on Find a grave or Deceased on line.
You could try Fife Council Bereavement Services. Family History Enquiries Section. There is a form to fill out and a small fee of £5.00 I believe. Then email this to bereavementservices@fife.gov.uk. Just follow the online instructions.
I have found them very helpful in the past.
