Hello, I have Charles Perry(1732-) & Jane Eve (1731?-)in Essex which I copied from an established tree but as I'm cross checking, there are a few... interesting bits.
My confusion is mainly around Jane Eve and her parents.
The established tree has her born, Tenterden, Kent, England, 4 July 1731 to John Eve and Mary Mantell (and Mary's tree goes back to the romans, with her mother liz bull).
However there are a couple of Jane Eves born in Essex around this same time. Another Jane born 6 October 1728, Woodham Walter, Essex to Adam & Mary Eve.
Another Jane Eve, Marriage 22 June 1760 Mountnessing, Essex, England, United Kingdom Spouse William Sulton
And another John and Mary couple in Essex around the same time.
Does anyone have the missing key to identify the right parents for this Jane?

Do you have the baptisms of all of Charles/Janes children?
Helps to establish possible parents names.
Their burials for more accurate ages?
I see the both signed on their 25 Dec 1755 Marriage.
Both of Hatfield Broad Oak at time of Marriage

Hi Trish, Thank you for the reply.
My trouser leg of confusion starts in Kent with William Stannard (1761- ) wed Judith Perry (abt 1756-).
Will, according to the established tree, was born at Shorncliffe camp but it was not established until 1794.
And the Judith born in Hatfield Peveral to Charles & Jane listed above.
Now I see no record of Judith birth and some of the ancestry/FindMyPast & Fam search hints suggest its Sarah not Judith. Giving the patchy nature of this era's records I'm tempted to stop the search here as there are too many forks.
I see there were a few Perrys allowed over the border into Kent but I find no Judith there either.
I'm more inclined to believe its a local girl, where ever local was for Will (outside of military).
But the wedding 8 feb 1780 Blackmore essex

I will re-post in Kent as Stannard should be resolved first.
And there were 2 suitable wills born in Suffolk in '55 & 57. None in Essex.

Please don't repost it in Kent as it will end up with people duplicating information. If necessary you can ask the moderators to move it

Who was the child of this couple that has led you to this record. Where and when were they born

The marriage at Woodnesborough in 1806 between Henry Morris (Widower) and Esther Stannard has Esther of the parish of St Mary's Sandwich. Witnesses were Will Morris and Eliz Yeomans.
Where do you have Henry and Esther after 1840
-
Esther buried Staple, Kent, 8 Feb 1862.
Henry buried 10 August 1847 • Goodnestone next Wingham, Kent, England
All kids born in Kent.
'61 census, Esther "Marris" MiL with Eliza Piddock (daughter) & William at Staple. Lists her birth as Ash, Kent.

Thank you,
I have just found Henry, Esther, Hannah, Edward & Elizabeth in 1841 Woodnesborough as Morriss (It is what the original says :). ). All born in Kent except Esther.
There is an Esther Morress in Woodnesborough in 1851 with a son Albert age 26 bn Woodnesborough.
That entry has Esther as a Widow age 68 -Pauper of the Parish-Bn Leicester, Leicestershire.

The baptisms for children of Henry and Esther that I have located are
George 1814
Charlotte Mary 1819
Charles 1819
Esther 1821
Henry 1823
Herbert 1824 (Could this be Albert?)
Harriet 1826
Edward 1828
Elizabeth Ann 1831
They have named 2 children after themselves, are any of the others named after Henry's parents
-
Thank you Rosie,
Henry's parents & gran parents, I have as Will& Mary x3
Which makes me wonder as normally some kids are after the parents / grandparents.
Interesting find for Esther birth a new direction to look, which will kill the Essex connection.
