Title: Docherty Family from Clydebank
Post by: voidz on Saturday 27 December 25 23:06 GMT (UK)
Greetings,
I am after some information regarding my family.

My grandmother was Annie Andrew (maiden name Docherty). Her parents were Archibald "Archie" Docherty and Flora Stewart.

Archie was born in 1904 in Milton, and his occupation was riveter.

He passed away tragically in 1951 in Southwick, Sussex - he fell 120 feet to his death from scaffolding on the roof of a new powerstation due to misadventure.

Flora emigrated to New Zealand.

My grandmother had 4 children with James Andrew from Patna, 2 daughters and 2 sons.

What exactly are you hoping to know. Please know that this forum can not discuss anything about a living person.

Archibald & Flora married in 1925 in Scotland.  Did the whole family move to England or was Archibald just working in England when he died?

A Flora Docherty of 57 Dumbarton Rd Dunochtea?? b 26.2.1907 left England 6.3.1956 for Wellington NZ accompanied by 2 children b 1938 & 1940.  She is shown as single which is the instructed status for a widow.  Neither child bears the name of your grandmother

Annie appears to have been born in 1926??
