Post by: alllegs on Saturday 27 December 25 19:56 GMT (UK)
Please can someone help decipher the cause of death of Emma Burton, died aged 25 on 11th November 1896.

I can read the 1 ½ mth exhaustion but not the word above.

Thank you

That was my thought too .
I have seen that with this spelling:-
Septicaemia or mea, the clerks were not Doctors and often mis- spelled medical terms .

Viktoria.

Thank  you

Could that have been as a result of child birth?

Emma married, had 3 children and died within 3 years, poor woman.

Was the last child born shortly before her death?

I can't find their birth registrations but she married and had 3 kids in 3 years then passed.

Any baptisms for them?  What were their names?

Just to check the theory about her death being related.
