Recent DNA matches have provided the genetic connection for BOWLES family between descendants of John Jones BOWLES in NZ and various branches out of Deal, Kent, England.
If anyone has DNA tested and is a descendant of:
John Jones BOWLES (1815) in NZ, his sister Mary Elizabeth (1813, married name REDMAN; 3 sons) or his brother, groom Thomas BOWLES (1818; only child Sarah Ann (1858)). Please get in touch.

Thank you for your message.
I have created profiles on WikiTree re the Bowles family.

The DNA connection on the right hand side of the Bowles profiles will be of interest to you.

Thank you for the additional DNA link. I have about 8 matches to various family on the UK side to the NZ side, which (when segment data is shared) will provide the genetic proof. The general level of match will be between +/- 7th cousins and will be on a single segment (usually), although testing companies often filter results so the raw data is required to find missing segments.
In the Wiki-tree, you can probably add "confident" to the BOWLES=HORN relationship as they are the MRCAs for the UK and NZ descendants. Thomas (1754) is the ancestor of the NZ BOWLES his brother John (1758) is the ancestor of my BOWLES family line.
While there are multiple DNA connections indicated (most pending reply to outreach and pending verification on GEDmatch) I am yet to find any implied connections down the sibling branches outside of these. If you do have DNA matches implied down other BOWLES and female married branches please contact me in confidence outside of this public forum so we can do the necessary forensics on the matches.
Many thanks for your interest in proving the paper trail.

As an update on this study, we have now successfully crossmatched 9 descendants of the branch in New Zealand with 11 descendants of the branch that remained in Kent, with the connection between testers being 8-10 generations, depending on the tester.
This makes the paper trail very robust for those having trees on either side back to BOWLES=HORN(E) who are my 6x greats.
We welcome any further collaborators.
Happy New Year.
