Title: Identifying WW1 regiment
Post by: Shropshire Lass on Friday 19 December 25 16:01 GMT (UK)
The cap badge isn't very clear but can anyone identify which regiment Tom Morgan was in? I thought it was the Royal Welsh (Welch).

He is a member of the Welsh Regiment.

Whist there were some posher regiments such as the 10th Hussars who also used the same design of PofW feathers over a scroll, they were single regiments whilst the Welsh had many more battalions so statistically the regiment is very likely to be Welsh.

This shows 2 cavalry badges alongside the Welsh and as you can see the silhouette is similar but there were circa 30 battalions of Welsh but on one 10th Hussar or 3 rd Dragoons and he does have a good Welsh name.
